Hi friends, it’s been a few years since my last post. Much life has occurred since then. New jobs, new baby, and many new lessons and seasons have been learned and lived.
When this blog was created, I was in a season of life that felt chaotic, and like slow living was impossible to achieve. I began to deep dive into what it would take to live a slower paced life physically and mentally. During this deep dive Treasuring Littles was birthed from the thought that stopping to treasure the little things forces an intentional recognition of little blessings like kids, gracious lessons, and simple moments. Progress to live slower was made and then my dad died somewhat unexpectedly, I began working again, and I had my third baby. Learning to live slow in my current season of life looks different than before.
My third baby is almost a year old and I’m halfway through my first year of officially homeschooling my oldest daughter. I am finally feeling a little more adjusted to some of the new things and with that it feels there is maybe more time for things I once enjoyed, like this blog!
This past year was an intense growth year. Recently, I was reminded of the importance of taking my thoughts captive and recognizing more things to give thanks for. By doing these two things, I find my thoughts are slower, clearer, and more Christ centered.
So that is what this year is going to look like for Treasuring Littles: A daily recognition of one thing to be thankful for. There may be context, there may not be anything but a single word. Truthfully, this blog is mainly a therapeutic outlet for me this year. So it may appear to be the most random blog, but that’s okay. If my external processing helps you, wonderful! I am a firm believer that sharing in life together makes life lighter and sweeter. I’m glad you’re here, friend. Welcome to Treasuring Littles!
